So happy to have a halal place in Santa Rosa ! It’s a total authentic mom and pop shop located in a liquor store and the husband and wife duo are really nice and genuine. Everything we ordered was very fresh and high quality with generous portions. The baklava was the best I’v ever had, and I’m really looking forward to going back and trying more Afghani specials. The dumplings sounded good!!
We got the ” frybread” and it was awesome. It was a special fried flat bread dish with sauce, cheese, lettuce, cucumber and kidney beans. Very tasty, unique and vegetarian! You can also add lamb. I got the chicken and rice plate- and it was very good and tender. I just wish it was more flavorful though – I felt like it could have had more seasoning and salt. Also would have been nice to have more white and red sauce. The milder tone of the chicken and rice plate could have been a deliberate decision on the owners part though – perhaps adjusting the flavor to appeal to a wider demographic? Either way, I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll definitely order the chicken and rice again – i just hope it will have more seasoning !

Absolutely delicious food. I’m very impressed by the quality and flavors of this food. The chicken over rice might be my favorite meal in Santa Rosa and it’s a great deal for the quality of the food. It’s so good I may just here again for a 3rd day in a row. The family that runs the place are very kind and gracious. Don’t be dissuaded by it being inside a market, this is too good to pass up. Dare I say it’s the best food in Santa Rosa for under $30? I think I can confidently say that. Thank you for coming to Santa Rosa!
Delicious! We had a combo plate and the chicken and lamb were moist and flavorful. We also had a side order of falafel, which was delicious. Very generous servings. We will order more side sauce next time because it was very good and we wanted more!
Delicious & authentic Middle Eastern food. Best falafel in town, in my opinion. The rice reminds me of my grandmother’s pilaf. Happy to support this new local business.
Lamb gyro is delicious!!! Fresh ingredients, large portion, flavorful and juicy meat with crispy veggies and a refreshing sauce. I will definitely be back! This place is a hidden jem💖
